It was my first visit to Bali. I was looking for the place which would be far from crowdy beaches, the place where I could relax, receive good treatment and learn about Balinese culture. All my expectations were fulfilled. Zen Resort Bali had an Aurvedic Spa where Mr Suresh (from India) with his well trained staff would give you absolutely unforgettable blissful Aurvedic treatment. Resort was built on the hills with short walk to the beach and had stunning view. I loved walking there watching locals working in the fields who always sent me smile. Because I wanted to learn about Balinese culture, I had taken some short trips to temples, Buddist monastery and wonderful hot spring talking to the friendly helpful driver who explain to me many things which I would never learn from the books. I really enjoyed my stay at Zen!

At the moment there is some constraction work which which makes noise during the day. Also it would be helpfull if Zen would provide free shuttle to Lovina if you want to go for a shopping or have lunch or dinner outside resort which located far from "civilisation". I paid for every trip (short or long).

Zen Resort Bali is the ideal place for a husband who dives and a wife who likes spa treatments, massage, and yoga. The facilities are outstanding, the tranquility and peace unequalled, and the friendliness of the staff truly makes you believe that Bali is the Island of Paradise. This was our second holiday at Zen Resort, and we would love to come back.

The rooms are not soundproof, so beware of noisy neighbours.

Stunning views, relaxing atmosphere, beautiful garden, quiet location.

The food wasn't good at all.

Rooms are comfortable, have lots of privacy and are unique. Really liked the outdoor bathroom. Little things like flowers at our door made a big difference. Staff are keen to please but management came across as arrogant.

This hotel seems forced. It is located in the middle of a very poor farm area that has little facilities out of the resort. All extras are expensive and the staff push their spa incessantly. Forget western standards, Bali has it's own. We found it hard to relax as others literally slaved around us.
